Speech Therapy

Speech, language, and swallowing disorders can result from a variety of causes. Our speech therapy can help improve your ability to communicate from causes such as stroke, brain injury, hearing loss, and trauma. Our speech therapists, also known as speech-language pathologists, function as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team to assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of disorders that affect speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing in adults and geriatric patients.

It can be extremely difficult to cope with the stress associated with speech and language disorders, including problems swallowing. We understand and empathize with your emotional issues, both from your point of view as a patient and from your family's viewpoint. During speech therapy, we work with you using treatment techniques that help modify behaviors to reduce speech impediments and provide voice therapy.
